Gathered Sundress ~ Pattern

Well after much finessing and perfecting, this vintage inspired, Gathered Sundress Pattern is finished and ready to supply to you! Just in time for that weekend sewing project!... it's perfect for a weekend brunch or afternoon tea.

This sweet wee frock has a fitted lined bodice, gathered full skirt that falls to the knee and sweet curved pockets.
For my sample I drew emphasis to the necklines and edges by making my own piping, and inserting it into the seams, but this dress would look stunning without it too!

Pattern available from my online boutique: Etsy and as always includes full step by step instructions. I do recommend you invest in an invisible zipper foot for this dress.
More sweet dress patterns will be making an appearance here soon...

Fold-over Clutch - Free Pattern

You may have noticed that clutches, especially oversized ones seem to be around in abundance lately, and I couldn't help giving one a go seeing as they are basically a square with a zip!
This little project is quick to make, suitable for beginners and good for using up left over fabrics!

My sample is made in some left over beaded silk georgette, which I laid over a fused sturdy cotton. If your fabric is a little on the light side you may want to try a heavier weight fusing. Spend a little bit of money and buy good fusing, don't buy the cheap papery stuff as it wrinkles and creases and won't give you a nice finish, plus it doesn't tend to last that long! (That goes for all your sewing projects).

To make this project, download the free Fold-over Clutch pattern here. Pattern includes all seam allowances and instructions!

All patterns are able to be printed at home and are sized to fit on both US letter and International A4 size. Just make sure that when you print, PAGE SCALING is set to NONE. Tiling patterns is easy, just trim each page around the bounding box, including the grey underlap area, then tile your pages together matching the markers and the grid lines. Easy!

You will need the following materials and trims:

• 1 x 30cm (11 3/4") Dress Zip
• 0.4m (16") Fabric for the shell (the outside of your clutch)
• 0.4m (16")Lining
• 0.4m (16")Medium weight Fusing
• 0.3m (12") 10mm (3/8") Wide Cotton Tape, grosgrain Ribbon or similar.

Enjoy,
xxx.
